Rituals That Reflect You

Honor Your Story, Your Way

Handfastings, unity rituals, shared drinks, and creative moments—your ceremony can include as much tradition (or as little) as feels right to you.

Your Love, Your Symbols

Symbolic gestures, ancient or newly created, can make a ceremony unforgettable. From tying the knot, to sharing coffee, planting a tree, or painting a picture together, rituals bring meaning and personality to your moment. I will help you choose or design a ritual that feels true to your love, your story, and your values. Some are joyful, some are quiet and sacred, some are quirky. All are welcome here.

The Original “Tying the Knot”

Handfasting is one of my most requested rituals—and for good reason. It’s ancient, inclusive, and deeply symbolic. During the ceremony, I gently wrap cords, ribbons, or fabric around your hands to symbolize your union and intention. It can be short and simple, or expanded to include vows, blessings, or participation from family members.

Popular with couples from Pagan, Celtic, Wiccan, and spiritual-but-not-religious backgrounds—but truly beautiful for anyone.

Looking for Something a Little Different?

These are some of the unity rituals couples have loved incorporating. Let them inspire your own.

Painting Together: A creative, collaborative piece you get to keep forever.

Shared Drink Ritual: Share a cup of coffee, wine, margaritas, or even your favorite cocktail.

Planting a Tree or Succulent: Symbolizes growth, roots, and shared care.

Sharing Honey: A sweet nod to life’s richness—often used in Middle Eastern or nature-based ceremonies.

Letter & Wine Box Ceremony: Seal love letters and a bottle of wine to open on a future anniversary.

Quaich Ceremony: A Celtic tradition where couples (or families) sip from the same loving cup.

“Breaking Bread” Ritual: A unique alternative to the flower girl–guests are invited to share in community.

Shotski or Unity Toast: Playful, perfect for themed weddings or couples with a shared sense of humor.

Lasso: A popular Latin American and Filipino tradition which symbolizes unity and devotion.

Don’t see something that fits? Let’s invent one together.

Include the Ones You Love—However You Define Family

I love incorporating kids, pets, chosen family, or even your guests into the ritual if that feels meaningful to you. From ring warmings to pet blessings to group affirmations, we can weave your community into the moment in a way that feels just right. And yes, I have a soft spot for wedding dogs. 🐾

  1. We will chat about what matters to you: your story, your culture, your vibe.

  2. Together, we will choose a ritual that fits; then I will craft the wording and the flow into the ceremony.

  3. You show up, be present, and feel the moment unfold.
